Had a bit of a bumpy start as I made the order before Chrismas and they didn't have stock, and they were soon breaking up for the holiday so communication wasnt great. But once I got on touch in the new year the owner sorted everything and made up for the delay by including some extra for off cuts for the tricky job I'm doing. Thanks!

Was a bit nervous ordering timber from Chesterfield when we live in Falmouth. After a lot of research it seemed the best quality cladding for my shed and after speaking to Craig I was reassured so I placed the order. They were great at communicating progress with the order and, most importantly, when the wood arrived it was absolute, top notch quality. I couldn’t be happier. Only improvement point area was delivery which was scheduled 3 times before it eventually arrived. But hey, they had taken care of it, it had travelled 332 miles and transport was free so I’m not complaining. I have some other projects on the horizon and will definitely use U.K. Woodmill again.

The UK Woodmill have been fantastic to deal with -fairly priced and extremely knowledgeable with the products that they are selling .Craig has been far more helpful from the word go than any other woodmill I spoke to prior to ordering and has answered all the questions I have had. I’ve purchased a large amount of Waney edge larch cladding which is beautiful and of excellent quality.I’ve also purchased nearly 1800 shingles from them too, only a handful of which weren’t good enough to make it onto the roof, would highly recommend !

Craig and Zoe really looked after us on our house extension in Sheffield, providing a really nice product (larch) that was really nicely finished for an internal project. Ash showed us some options in the yard so we knew what we were getting, as well as all of this the value was the best we'd seen. On top of all of that the team could not do enough for us. Thanks.

Wanted some solid oak beams to make a fire surround. Craig & Zoe both really helpful. Cut it to our exact size. And a great price too. So good we have since been back for some oak for shelving and some larch fence posts which apparently will see us out unlike soft wood from builders merchants. Craig really knows his wood! Would highly recommend for any jobs needing wood or timber. Thanks guys. 10 out of 10! We will be back for our next project!

I’ve recently completed the build of a new garden room/summer house clad in cedar wood from Worksop Woodmill and it looks fantastic. I have been very impressed with the level of service and attention of care that was taken over the order: from the initial point of contact with Zoe who carefully ensured that I’d ordered sufficient wood for my needs to the ultimate delivery and good advice from Craig as to how to care for my wood in the future. The product is excellent. Wood is never a cheap commodity but I found this sawmill to be as competitively priced as one will find.It goes without saying, that I would wholeheartedly recommend them to others and would happily use them again in the future.

The product - Feather-edge Larch in this case - is excellent but, more importantly, the customer service is really impressive. There were a few delivery problems caused by the rain over the previous weeks but both Craig and Zoe kept me informed on progress ( even when it was bad news!) and added a number of boards to the order as a 'thank you' for the slightly late delivery. A great product and good people to do business with - good enough for me!
